The Backbone Trail: A Mild Obsession
This 68 mile trail through the Santa Monica Mountains has been a huge inspiration.
Meet Todd the Cat
Fetch record of 17 crumpled paper ball returns in one session. Does your cat do that?
The highest ultra high: Howie Stern snapping this picture at sunset on the summit of Mt. Elden-- less than 10 miles left in the inaugural Cocodona 250.
The race or FKT effort is the party. It's what I worked for. I do my best to celebrate and smile when I'm on course. Photo credit: @willharaldson

LA Sucks for Running
These trails were such a surprise when I moved to SoCal from the East Coast. I still have so much to explore.
Marketing is Cool
I went to school in Vermont for a Masters in Business Administration, paired with undergraduate degrees in psychology and art. Marketing naturally combines these disciplines in an exciting way. (My mom is shaking her head because this shirt isn't ironed...)
Take the Bridge
The first trail edition of the Take the Bridge race series, dubbed Take the Ridge. Fourth place lady.
The Suffer is Real
Roughly ~32 hours in to the Cocodona 250. It's in these moments you really need to remember your "why."
King Box Sitter
Favorite post extra-epic-long-run meal = ALL of the Sidecar Doughnuts. The freshest.
Yay for Friends!
I can't even begin to express how amazing the running community is. #nomansland (ask Chloe or Rhea!)
I'm stoked to spread the spirit of running through videos, podcasts, blogs, social media... all the thangs!
Adidas Runners LA
Come run with us! Contact me, seriously. It's fun.
Does Todd Like the Beach?
Actually... not so much. This cat just wants to be by our side. As long as he has shade, he'll chill like a good boy and stare down the seagulls.
Javelina Jundred 2020
An exceptional (first) 100 mile run through the desert. Fifth place female, and only hallucinated once! Photo credit: @howiesternphoto
Whazzup? I'm Shelby (get it... shell + bee... I drew my name like that in first grade). I'd describe myself as a creative marketing professional passionate about running, fitness, the outdoors, and cats. Send me a message, I'd love to meet you!
